SPGS International School Chengdu

SPGS International School Chengdu (SPGSI Chengdu), China, was established in 2021 as the first SPGS International school overseas. The school is located in the Tianfu New Area, a modern and innovative district that hosts many high tech industries and international organisations. It aims to provide a world class education that brings together the strengths of British and Chinese curricula, with a strong emphasis on individuality, creativity and academic excellence.

The school opened its doors with an initial cohort of students from Early Years to Year 6, and expanded to include a Senior School in 2022.

Students benefit from a balanced programme that delivers the English national curriculum while developing their understanding of local culture and language. They study IGCSE and A level courses, giving them a strong foundation for university and the wider world.

SPGS International School Chengdu was awarded the Best New School Award at the China School Awards 2022, reflecting its early achievements and the strength of its educational vision.
